Monash Annual Ball 2010: Premiere

Oh it is the time of the year again
Here come the cliche which sounds like
Time really flies
So, something different this year
The event was held at one world hotel (whoa finally, someplace near XD) instead of sunway hotel like the previous year
This place felt much nicer than sunway (personal thought)
The food while not fantastic, was certainly better

Overall, the ball was great
like the violinist that perform while they having break between events
(He actually plays plenty of musics of songs that i like, and was pretty good too =))
All the nominees for Mr and Mrs Monash were gorgeous (tho there are 2 that i totally do not fancy)
The events..well they are good, but it seems that people were more interested in taking their own gorgeous look rather than watching XD

Kinda regret not taking my own photo before going to the ball, oh well
Didn't take much photo either during the ball, guess I am just not in the mood

Went there late due to some circumstances
A lot of them are already pretty high when they reach there
And of cz not ignoring the drunks =P
Plenty were dancing and singing in the pub(high or drunk, they are the same)

Had a pretty good night
Great job to the committee's hard work

A new start, or perhaps an end =P

Finally after a string of delay (intentionally =P)
I am now staying at my uncle house at Lagoon Perdana(Sunway or Subang or watever)
It is much nearer to the uni compared to my house
I can spend less on petrol
I don't have to drive so much
I can have much more spare time
& most importantly it is for free!
So now any1 who drop by Sunway can visit me anytime and ask me out yum cha anytime on weekday wtf like any1 would like to ajak me
So now presenting my not so much room well good enough to stay then enuff lo
All I need is a bed and a table well that's the only things that my room can fit anyway wtf

First up my bed, my wife no1 2 3 are missing here, left them at home wtf

My much anticipated green door ( apparently my uncle decided to make traffic light for the house, there are 3 rooms in this apartment and so red yellow green for each room and I have the pleasure to get the green 1 wtf)

Final is just around the corner and I'll be staying here more often so that I can go the library for study *ehem * ehem*
Can't imagine how fast time flies
I am almost done with my 1st year in Monash now
Hopefully can do well in this final
Hopefully can get use to this place soon

end of holidays

So my 1 week mid sem break is drawing to an end now
Completion of all the work and assignments, not even 25% =.="
Damn I was more effective than that
Spent most of the time in uni doing electrical proj and preparing for the lab test
Resulted in the neglection of other assignments =(
Well at least I did spend time preparing for the structure test
Can't afford to screw it anymore
This is the proj that we have been so busy soldering
Well, don't really take much time, but feel quite proud when completed it lol

Well I guess that's all
Better get back to work now
1 more day left before the precious holidays end =(

The Ball

Went for the Monash Ball yesterday
Was originally planned to spray my hair blue
Unfortunately the saloon do not have the service , so plan abandonned =P
Borrowed a coat from my cousin's husband, but it is a bit oversize for me
I look huge lol, not nice =(
Sunway was full of ppl due to ppl coming for the ball and Arthur's Day
The food are so so
But the events are good
Aside from some small stuffs
Overall it was fun and nice
Too bad didn't get to take lotsa photos
Kinda regretted..haha

Well few more days and my hectic life part 2 is going to start soon
Four assignments going to be given to us to be accomplished during the 1 week so-called mid-semester break
Better find a way to enjoy my raya break as much as I can
But of course, I can't neglect my study =)
Talking bout study, screw up big time in my structure test 2
Results of overconfidence I guess
Still amazed that I managed to totally messed up the tension and compression
Losing me quite a lot of marks
I guess there goes my HD for structure
Going to have lower aim for my finals
Oh ya finals timetable came out 2day
Hating the 10 days gap between material paper and electrical
Never fancy such a long gap between my exam

Bridge

Finally am here to update my blog again =)
Had been busy with the stupid bridge proj lately
Finally get done with it
It is not the best out there, in fact is one of the worst in the class
But it doesn't matter anymore since it is able to sustained the 20kg
A 2 cm deflection is a big 1
But well
At least it survived right ;)

Finally managed to grab a win
Err well two wins to be more precisely
In like a few months time? lol
4-0 and 1-0
Played diff team for each half, so counted as two wins la..haha
Actually I didn't really play well today, in fact i played pretty badly
But others were good, so finally we won =)
Running out of breath pretty fast after a week of sickness
The stupid mucous ran into my lung again
But I am all well now ^^

Have been quite busy for the past week
Feel like my timetable is too packed
It is kinda good if compared to some other people
So i shouldn't be mourning here
Well just that I can't get used to it, yet
That's all

Dislike writing reports for material lab
Not like I have any choice though lol
Electrical tutor is a total disaster
I can't take the way he speak(he can't even express himself properly)
I can't take the way he teach
I just can't stand anything of him
And thus resulted in my disastrous Thurs morn lab
Was totally pissed off and was thinking of just ran off from the scene and left the practical as it is
But well being a responsible person as I am *eherm eherm*
I miraculously remained in the lab until the lab ended, even though I didn't complete the whole thing, not enough time etc
Luckily everything after that was kinda good and happy
So i was able to put all the stuff at the back of my mind and continue to enjoy my life
Not gonna let him spoil my day

Nothing else particularly interesting happen in my life though
So just gonna get on with the life
structural test coming up next
1st test of the sem
Have to do well for it
Work hard and all the best to everyone!!

yea i know, my blog has been neglected for a time now
even though there seems to be alot of stuff to blog
but i just don't seem to feel like blogging them
but here i m again=)
Well the new sem started today
the 2 weeks of holidays plus the 1 week orientation sure ended fast
i cant even really feel them=P
anyway
new sem is the weird 1
no yao huang to talk to
no edwin for me to tease
no miss chua errr...to laugh at?lol
It just doesn't feel right without these ppl chatting and laughing with us
It's like part of the life is gone? lol this is abit exaggerated
but then that's kinda how to describe it
well anyawy life goes on
this kinda remind me of a song haha
lectures look nice, let's hope i don't slack off half way like last sem
promised myself to do my best this sem=)

Had a game of futsal today with friends from monash
It has been such a long time since i last played futsal or football
Thought i might lose all the feel of the ball
Apparently i can still play
Even though still lousily:P
It wasn't a bad game
We have fun today
As expected, Miss Chua and Miss Tan joined us

It isn't really such a bad idea to relax sometimes before the exam
Instead of shutting urself up in a room
And stuff urself with all the books and exercises
Even though i have been relaxing quite alot =p

Well i m not being really coherent here
Sentences all mixing up
Might have been due to the numbness of my fingers
or the fatigue
or my mind just refuse to work
But well who cares...

what i've been doing

Have been kinda busy recently with the physics lab 4,
the Rube Goldberg Machine
kinda annoyed with it, took away my whole weekend to construct, build, modify, test etc & whatever crazy thing u can think of
OK, i should have started doing it a long time ago but...well who cares, it is over now. Assembled the whole thing from...err well used item, books, boxes and whatever we can find in our house, this is the results of our hard work,
err...plus my leg...hehe
today is the day of presenting the whole stupidlooklikeabloodymixtureofrubbish machine
well..got minus marks for human intervention, eg. the 1st try our rotation part got stucked, 2nd try & 3rd try failed by not having enough amplitude for oscillation, the whole thing nvr start.
It's just not our day anyway, we tested it for the whole night and it worked quite well
all the problem surfaced today, see i even have the proof! It really worked!
Recorded my own voice too...lol

oh well...can't change anything now so just let it be.
Received the physics mid term test paper b4 we present our project, happy with the results^^
At least something to cheer for :D

Back to the earlier stuff
It so happened that today is the day for Monash scholarship presentation ceremony
received the 50% entrance scholarship
Get back half of my course fees! Yay!

One hell of a day

Couldn't get into the net for the whole day yesterday
Have no idea what's wrong with the network
Happens once every 1 or 2 months...wtf
Stupid Streamyx, we have to pay so much for the crappy connection
everytime call them, they'll surely tell u the same thing, try to close the modem, reconnect after 10secs bla bla bla, always tell me the same thing, even i can memorise the procedure
anyhow have to bare with it...not like i have any other choice anyway
i can't even imagine my life without the internet, it is like...part of my life is gone
wonder how i survive last time at my NS camp

OK now back to business
Yesterday was a tired day, went for the Mid-Sem buddy-buddee meet, play a lot of games,
& a game of basketball there, i played like a crab( yes, a crab) i can't believe how bad i am now in basketball...even though i am nvr good in it, but not that bad!!
went to 1u at night & have a dinner at fish & co to celebrate inn kun's birthday, i bet everyone was shock to see me besides chun fei:P
i haven't been hanging out with them for a long time now
will try to make more time in the future
Now, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to inn kun( another belated birthday=.=" stupid connection yesterday)
Wish you can find a new girlfriend real soon in Sunway =P

和朋友的一晚

昨晚去了kota kemuning和大学的朋友bbq
很远下，不过算了，也不是说会时常这样（希望啦。。呵呵）
好了，到了sean的家，女的在厨房忙着（还有一两个男的），准备意大利面和沙拉，叫我们去起火
说实在的，不是很想起，结果留在厨房帮大家洗东西。。呵呵

说实在的，当晚并不算是bbq（至少在我眼中啦。。哈哈）
大部分的人都在吃，只有我们几个人在烧
对我而言bbq最好玩的就是在烤食物的过程，真的是不明白为什么当晚没什么人要烤
或许是那烤炉笑了些，不过。。。有些人还真的是等吃罢了=.=
过后yun xin决定和她的男朋友提早庆祝生日
被大家逼他们吻对方。。。不过才都不到那一秒，=.=
没有人来得及拍照。。哈哈
回家时发现chea yii他们没有跟上来，原来迷路了
幸好后来他们还是找到路，不然可以准备睡街了咯

对了，忘了当晚的主角
sean可爱的妹妹。。。这位7岁的小妹妹，所说的一切真的是让我们哭笑不得

Elephant Visit

Don't really know how to start this off...but than, here it goes
woke up early for the elephant 2day
have to reach monash by 8am, joined the nature club's activity to visit the elephant in Kuala Gandah, yupe..u heard it right, u read it correctly, i JOINED the nature club
well continue on the story
while still in super sleepy mode, we board the bus & sleep lol
sleep through out the whole journey to Kuala Gandah except for the half an hour stop for breakfast
reach the place at 11sth, earlier than expected
had our lunch & watch some video on how to capture elephant & wad they do to them
than finally is the time we are waiting for!
get to see the elephants, feed them ride them,
too bad can't shower with them(to be exact is play water with them, not exactly eager for it but well) since the water level of the river 2day is quite high
reached monash way earlier than estimated & is pretty exhausted
well, as quoted by someone, let the photos do the talking

On a few stuffs

Just updating on a few things that happen recently
ok 1st off went for shell's scholarship interview on Thurs
the whole thing don't really went on well
i think i accidentally swear(whispered it) once in there XD
hope the interviewer nvr heard it
ok overall didn't do as badly as i imagined but still not really satisfied with it

Went to Monash after that for the last class
almost every single human being that i met asked me why wear so formal=.=
ok i guess that might attract some attention
met wei leong, shi yunn & the dancing group before goin home
they are preparing for the MDFC Dance Concert
i was tired that time so i decided not to stay back
ok that turn out to be a bad choice...a really bad 1
i got a minor accident on my way home in front of 1u
i hit another car on the back, luckily nothing serious
have to pay for the repair fees or sth

Yesterday though, really feel pointless going to the uni
we have around an hour class of dynamics before the alarm went off
went for a drill....walk around chatting with friends
than i have 3 hours of break as our math lecturer has a high fever
we went for a lunch at zanmai in pyramid for yao huang's farewell
wth do u have to change to studying law!!
ok anyway a few more will be leaving soon so we should prepare for it
i might post some photos on the lunch later
